See you Later Alligator!

When this blog hop was announced I knew it was a perfect fit because of how much we love to travel. I had so many ideas of travel quilts; none of which have been sewn yet. After evaluating my UFOs in the last hop I decided I needed to focus on projects with definite deadlines rather than "that's cute and would be nice to make someday" projects...Fortunately I had a baby quilt with a deadline that also matched the theme! When someone is taking a train trip, there's probably someone left behind saying "see you later, alligator" after all.
I also completed another baby quilt top at my retreat with Noah's Ark, though I can't find it, there has to be an alligator in there somewhere.
Both of the babies are expected in December and I have the backings ready so quilting them should definitely be done in time to prevent these from becoming UFOs. 1. I know that Noah would not leave an alligator behind, so there must be one in the mix. Two travel related quilts, that's a good accomplishment.

  2. Sweet quilts--both will be loved by the babies that receive them! That little train is adorable and kids always love Noah's ark--someday that baby will be looking the the alligator too. :) Thanks for sharing!

  3. Wonderful quilt tops and I'm pretty sure there has to be a gator in the mix somewhere. Great to have an end date as a goal to keep you on track and away from the UFO bin.

  4. Awwwww...sweet quilts for sweet babies. I love your thoughts on projects. I tend to get caught up in the "that would be cute and nice to make some day" chaos all the time. Focus focus is my motto for right now anyway. LOL!!
